Cadillac’s top of line vehicle for 1939 the V16 powered seven-passenger Imperial Limousine with coachwork by Fleetwood. Intended to be chauffeur driven, these cars included a glass partition separating the driver’s compartment from the passenger coach. Spacious seating accommodations were upholstered in the finest wool and included to forward facing auxiliary seats that became concealed when not in use. The chauffeur was treated to more utilitarian appointments including leather upholstery and a special “Motorphone†that permitted passenger-to-driver communication without lowering the divider window. Just in from a private collection, the 1939 Cadillac V16 Imperial Limousine offered here remains in excellent, highly original condition showing only 64,745 miles on the odometer. This car features its original V16 431 cubic inch 185hp motor, 3 speed manual transmission, original interior, wood, chrome and bright work and features one older, high quality lacquer repaint. Mechanically the car has been consistently maintained and remains fully operational.
